High-Performance Batteries
for Reliable Power Solutions

CIPEM offers different types of customized solutions, with a capacity range from 50 mAh to 20,000 mAh, as well as hard and flex packages and all types of output and connectors, with or without protection

Primary and Rechargeable Batteries

Single-use batteries (also known as primary batteries) are the same as disposable batteries, which are designed not to be recharged. Common primary battery types include alkaline, carbon zinc, lithium, silver oxide, and zinc-air batteries. Rechargeable batteries (also known as secondary batteries) can be recharged and reused from 500 to 1000 times. Common rechargeable battery types include nickel metal hydride (NiMH), nickel-cadmium (NiCd), lithium-ion (Li-ion), and Lithium polymer batteries

Battery Types

Li-ion

A Lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery is a type of rechargeable battery that uses lithium ions as the main charge carrier, moving from the negative electrode to the positive electrode during discharge, and back when charging.

Li-Po

A Lithium-polymer (Li-Po) battery is a type of rechargeable battery that uses a solid polymer electrolyte instead of a liquid one, as in traditional Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries. Li-Po batteries are lighter, more flexible, and have a higher energy density compared to Li-ion batteries.

Lead Acid

A Lead-Acid battery is a type of rechargeable battery that uses lead plates immersed in an electrolyte solution of sulfuric acid to produce electricity. They are known for their high power density, low cost, and long life cycle, but they are also relatively heavy and have a limited energy density compared to other types of batteries.

Primary

A primary battery is a type of disposable battery that cannot be recharged and must be replaced once its energy is depleted. They can vary in size and power.

Ni-MH

A Ni-MH battery, short for nickel-metal Hydride battery, is a type of rechargeable battery. It uses a hydrogen-absorbing alloy as the negative electrode material instead of nickel-cadmium, offering higher energy density and a lower memory effect compared to the latter.
